I’m both the author and administrator of this site. I use a “pen name” in order to preserve my personal privacy on the Web.
Who I am
I am the editor and manager of Ai no Kusabi Otaku, a fan site and guide for Reiko Yoshihara’s classic yaoi/shounen-ai novel, Ai no Kusabi. The content presented is intended for mature readers/viewers and is restricted to adults, 18 years or older. The entire site has been age gated to reflect this, by use of the ‘Restricted For Adults’ tag.

What personal data I collect and why I collect it
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, in the way of feedback or in the comments section at the end of a post, we collect the data shown in the comments form in the form of user email address or IP address. The visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string is also collected in order to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture/avatar is visible to the public in the context of your comment. These will only be used in order to gauge engagement with the site and which content visitor’s are engaging with the most. Visitor personal information will be used for no other purpose except what has been described above.
Media
Visitor/user uploading of images or other media is not permitted on this site. A detailed media policy will be posted at a later time. All images of copyrighted material is for reference use only. All images and video content is copyrighted to the original creator and is being used in accordance with Fair Use provisions of Federal Copyright Law. No infringement is intended.
Contact forms
A contact form is provided if the visitor/user has a question they wish to make to me, as owner of the site. Names and emails with be collected on said form for this purpose only and in no way will this information be made public, or to third parties.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on my site you may opt-in to saving your name (or username), email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, it will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser, or clear your browser cache/history.
When you log in, it will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with
No one other than myself. The only information I see in truth is a visitor’s geographical location and what pages or posts a visitor engaged with. No third parties will ever see this data.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so I can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on my website (if any), I also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data I hold about you, including any data you have provided to me. You can also request that I erase any personal data I hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

No other visitor/user contact information, except email addresses and IP addresses will be collected
